Successor of Q5, Micromax Q5 fb surely is heavily laden to prove its superiority. It supports 2 GSM 900/1800 in its mini SIM slots, for greater ease of connection. Lookwise it is very similar to Q5, only difference being the trackball provided to make interaction easier. The 2.2 inch TFT, 256k screen works well, and the display quality is very good even in broad daylight.
The internal memory is 5 MB, which can be extended up to 8 GB via a microSD card slot. For music lovers, the surprise is Yamaha audio amplifier, which can make the music experience clearer, and makes up for the lack of 3.5 mm earphone jack. The primary 2 MP camera clicks at 1600×1200 pixels, and records videos too. However, lack of autofocus, zoom and flash is a big drawback of this phone. Data transfer and connectivity is enhanced in Micromax Q5 via use of GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and microUSB. The battery life is similar to Q5, 180 hours of standby and 3 hours of talk time. Other notable features of Micromax Q5 fb are Facebook/Nimbuzz applications, photocall, IM, predictive text input, voice memo and Opera Mini.
